Suzhou GAA

May 2009 saw Suzhou GAA entered into there first competitive tournament and it was a baptism of fire with there first 2 matches aginst the power houses of Shanghai and Hong Kong.  In the first game Suzhou went down badly to a very strong Shanghai A team and after learning a tactical lesson they took to the field against HK with all but one behind the ball and faired better.  Our first "real" match was against the well established Beijing which Suzhou lead all the way through but conceded a goal in the last minute which lead to a drawn game.  Suzhou never looked back after that and beat fellow new comers Changsha in the final game of the group.  Suzhou made the bowl final against our Neighbours Shanghai B.  It was another win for Suzhou to pick up the first bit of silverware.
